Let's talk
Sajid Islam at his workstation, turning requirements into working software

Why I do this work

Good software should shorten the distance between a problem and a working release.

I've always believed software is really about people: the customer waiting on an order, the manager buried in spreadsheets, the team that needs an answer by Monday. I started on the marketplace floor at Daraz and in retail ops, then learned to build the tools myself. Today I still get the same thrill when a messy requirement turns into something that ships and gets used.

Three pillars

How I work.

Three disciplines, one outcome: software that ships sooner and holds up in production.

Product-Minded Engineering

Build the real thing.

I start with the actual problem — talking to users and stakeholders — then turn ambiguous requirements into concrete flows, APIs, UI states and testable behaviour.

Web + mobile · one codebase

Systems & Integration

Make systems talk.

I build the glue layer around existing platforms: WooCommerce and WordPress, REST services, webhooks, auth, caching and idempotent workflows that survive contact with reality.

Idempotent · verified · failover

AI-Native Development

Use AI as a lever.

I put LLMs, RAG and agents into real workflows — and use AI-native development to accelerate exploration, scaffolding and debugging while keeping ownership of architecture and quality.

Selected outcomes.

Company data stays confidential, so these are the stories behind the numbers.

  • Problem
Weekly performance reporting ate hours of analyst time, every single week.
    Approach
Built automated reporting pipelines around real operational data, with exception handling stakeholders can trust.
    Result
Reporting overhead fell by 40% — the numbers land every week without anyone chasing them.
  • Problem
The marketplace needed more quality partners, but outreach was scattershot.
    Approach
Ran targeted partner acquisition with campaigns and performance tracking at Daraz Bangladesh.
    Result
Partner acquisitions up 50% through focused outreach and marketplace initiatives.
  • Problem
One-time buyers outnumbered returning customers, and re-engagement ran on manual effort.
    Approach
Optimized CRM and customer re-engagement workflows end to end, measured against real purchase data.
    Result
Repeat purchases up 15% across the customer base.
  • Problem
Storefront, orders, tracking and returns lived in separate tools that never quite agreed.
    Approach
Built DEEN Commerce as a unified web + mobile product: architected the cross-platform DEEN Mobile App and lightweight DEEN Mobile App Lite with verified webhooks and failover.
    Result
One resilient ecosystem for storefront, checkout, orders, live tracking, and mobile distribution across iOS & Android.
